The Wheeler Centre in partnership with Northern Books presents:
Mikaella Clements and Onjuli Datta in Conversation with Mel Fulton.

The co-authors of a dark and sensual queer love story which blurs the line between love and terror hit the stage in Castlemaine.
Creative couple Mikaella Clements and Onjuli Datta lift the curtain on their bold and unsettling new novel, Feast While You Can. A queer love story set in the remote, eerie town of Cadenze, this is a gripping and sensual exploration of modern life’s hidden monsters.

At the heart of the tale is Angelina Sicco, a woman determined to find contentment in her sleepy town despite the mysterious force lurking in the caves nearby. Her life of quiet rebellion – filled with heavy metal concerts, dive bars and trying to lure queer women to Cadenze – takes a dramatic turn when she encounters a figure from her past. As a powerful, ancient evil awakens, Angelina’s world begins to unravel, pushing her into a passionate romance that might just be the key to survival.
Speaking with Mel Fulton, Clements and Datta will delve into the chilling, electrifying heart of their story – one that interrogates desire, heartbreak and the cost of living fully.
